silvery blue tinted eyes darted around the area. unease rested like a mantle upon the petite male as he set his violin case down next to the fountain, and he froze with his fingers hovering mere centimeters away from the handle of his case. slowly and mechanically, he turned his head and watched as two younger students shoved each other playfully. stop and take deep breaths, kira whispered to himself while closing his eyes. inhale and exhale. inhale and exhale. repeat and repeat. the young violinist straightened his posture and forced his body to relax, but the tension clung to him like leeches. they sapped at his patience and energy while he tried to keep himself from falling off the thin string stretched across the bottomless void known as depression. he refused to falter. one gloved hand moved to press against his temple while he mentally scolded himself; however, the lecture did nothing to help raise his darkening emotions. the current maelstrom of malevolent emotions continued to gain strength due to the white haired youth’s ineptitude. his countless masks did not destroy his emotions; they merely hid them behind lie after lie after lie.
kira crouched down and shifted his violin case to lay flat on the ground. gloved fingers flicked open the locks, and after undoing the restraints, he tugged on the upper portion of the case and barred his violin to the eyes of nature. the teen caressed the instrument in a manner reminiscent of a mother trailing her fingers over her child’s unblemished cheek. within the span of a few minutes, kira found himself falling back into his comfort zone. his fingers danced across the violin’s fingerboard as he moved the bow across the strings, and the violin’s cries filled the area around him. most students preferred to make use of the various music rooms located in ouran due to the advanced equipment and soundproofed walls; however, kira loved to feel the warmth of the sun and soft kiss of the wind against his exposed flesh. petal pink lips curved into a soft smile while he continued to follow the familiar pattern of movements. change meant discarding the known and accepting the unknown. sometimes he feared that he would never find the courage necessary to move past this moment. his movements gained a frenzied pass, and his eyes fluttered shut in an unconscious attempt to block out the rest of the world.
memories of fire red hair and pain, memories of blonde hair and gleeful blue eyes, memories of vivid green hair and a monotone voice, memories of vivid red hair and secret escapes flooded his mind while he tried to reach the starting point of the next chapter of his life. the music continued to build to its crescendo, and kira lost himself in flashes of midnight discussions, flashes of broken bottles, flashes of joyful laughter, and flashes of comfortable silence. the song began to approach its end. the young musician spotted the end of his chapter; however, he could not step over the invisible line. rough hands grabbed his should and pulled him back into the darkness of the night that represented only pain and the burning smell of alcohol. one final solemn note meant the end of the impromptu performance. he wanted to continue playing, yet his body moved to lock away his violin until the next day. his fingers brushed against the closed locks while he attempted to create some order in his scattered thoughts. with a soundless sigh, kira stood up and walked the few steps necessary to plop down on the edge of the fountain.
a masterful performance? he asked the world around him, yet he received no answer. laughter followed his statement. he wrapped an arm around his waist and allowed himself to unwind, to shove the memories away, to lock them away like his violin. the sound of bells caused kira to try and halt his giggling. sky blue hued eyes swept the area around him until he spotted the familiar blonde with an insane obsession with wearing bells, and for the first time in days, the young musician felt light hearted and joyful. petal pink lips morphed into a frown as he called out, are you planning to spend some time with your apparently forgotten friend? yes, they did see each other every single day, but kira could not pinpoint the last time they enjoyed a peaceful afternoon together. not all the blame could be placed on nadeah since orchestra and the host club ate away at the teen’s free time. and why did you miss orchestra practice a few days ago? his eyes narrowed slightly while he studied his friend’s features for an answer. kira hoped that nadeah had a good reason for skipping rehearsal, and if he deemed the excuse deceitful or feeble, he promised to present a lecture that would have both himself and the blonde cringing.
occ: this should be fun (<3), and i might edit for mistakes at a later time.

Nadeah had never suffered from such anxiety since he had lived with his biological family. He felt terrified and rather uncertain of his current situation. He hadn't spoken a word of what he had been doing or what had happened in his life this week to his adoptive family or his friend, Kira. Nadeah was going to have to tell them before they found out on their own and that wouldn't fly well at all. However, what was he supposed to tell them? That he had a boyfriend? Yeah, sure, that sounded easy enough to say but in reality it wasn't easy at all.
He had no idea how anyone would react to that news. How having a boyfriend actually worked. Nor did he know if his family and friends would like him or not and that really got to him. What if, they were against him, didn't like him or made fun of the whole situation or what if they wanted him to leave Denver. Sure, they hadn't been dating long but this was Deah's crush from when he was younger and a crush he had gotten over. Well, until recently now he was back to stage one.
It also didn't help that he had missed practice because of Denver and came home late a few nights ago. Pale hands shifted through golden locks as he made his way into the outside with his messanger bag over one shoulder. His bells sang his out with each movement he made. His feet carried him across the grass as he had no real plan on where he was going or doing. His mind was stuck on replay of the past events and his feelings on everything. He felt like he might panic and explode from all the pressure he felt. It was really like he had no escape, to be stuck in limbo forever.
A voice called out, he didn't hear it at first but once he noticed he had been addressed, he stopped dead in his tracks. Blue eyes locked on to the individual speaking to him. It took a moment but he soon realized it was Kira. A look of defeat and shame crossed his features as he lowered his head. It sounded like a tease but he figure it was more then just that, especially with orchestra being mentioned. The blone chewed on his lower lip before apporaching him. He forced the most charming smile he chould as he placed his hands behind his back in order to keep him calm.
"Of course I haven't forgotten about you, why would you ever think that." His head tilted to the side as he rocked back and forth on his heels. Behind him, his hands wrung together tightly. "Oh, um, sorry about that. I was trying to avoid some people and didn't make it in time. The doors were locked and so, I, um." How to put it. "Got distracted..." That small sentence turned into a mummble as he lowered his gaze towards the water within the fountain. "Real, distracted..."
Pressing his lips together tightly, he pondered on his next word choice. "I'm sorry." Now, how was he going to tell Kira that he had a boyfriend now and not just any boyfriend. He was dating Denver Nheria, mafia heir, past crush and the one with perhaps the worst reputation in school.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width:450px, bTable] | [atrb=border,0,true] DON'TFEARTHEREAPER | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style,width:450px, bTable] Denver was released from class not too long ago. He didn't need to bother with his club today so he moved on from the school. He decided he was going to take a short walk around the area and probably relax at the Garden for a little while. He figured it would be good place to sit down and actually think about the day at hand and the up coming weekend. Denver was wanting to get out and do a bit more but had been unable to lately with his father asking him to do all the work around the house. God. That old man was so annoying.
He didn't know what he was going to do if his father kept bugging him. Punching him in the face for his annoyance probably wasn't the answer and their last real fight ended in Denver losing his right eye. He would have to figure out a way to get back at the old man in a way that he wouldn't be so pissed Denver walked out of it with out a limb. Denver knew eventually he'd have to head out of the garden and meet up with his gang, let alone that fact he probably needed to find Deah at one point or another too.
Denver was thinking about asking him out another date. This time he wasn't even going to bother telling his Dad so their wouldn't some excuse not to have him sit around the house and fix something that wasn't his responsibility. Though that still left some rather uneventful days, what else could he do? He wondered as he walked into the Garden area. He paused for a moment at hearing the sound of bells. Taking a moment to look around the area he spotted the angel of his thoughts not to far away from where he was.
It looks like he wasn't the only one to have the idea of heading into the Garden. He also took notice of another not to far away from where Deah was. It seemed the two might have known each other because Deah was now facing towards the other student and focusing on him. Though Denver had been unable to hear what was going on between them, he still began his walk up behind Deah. Once he was close enough and when the two had not been speaking to one another he spoke. "Hey," Deah said and looked towards the other with no real emotion set on his face.
He didn't know who this guy was and he wasn't exactly the sharing type either. He was very suspicious of the other even though he didn't know him, this was probably natural on his end however. Denver couldn't help but be a possessive person when it came to thinks that he felt where his. Though he didn't show any real threat for the moment, he just remained relaxed. "Whats going on?" He asked rather openly and glanced towards Deah and remained rather close to him. |

silvery blue tinted eyes narrowed as he studied the petite blonde, and he wondered how daft nadeah perceived him to be. he spent enough time with the other male to understand his body language. the white haired host could practically see the nervous waves of energy radiating from his friend’s tiny frame; however, he did not mention this to his friend. if nadeah wanted to believe that he remained unaware and ignorant, kira thought it better to indulge him in that belief. after all, it would be highly hypocritical of him to do otherwise since he liked to believe that nadeah lacked the ability to read his own body language with an degree of accuracy; moreover, sometimes pretending to be ignorant helped to trick an individual into divulging their secrets. the young violinist wore masks often enough that donning the cloak of ignorance proved second nature, and for a few moments, kira hated himself for being so incredibly deceitful. he hated pretending, loathed the lies, and abhorred the deceit.
kira opened his mouth to respond only for an unknown voice to interrupt him, and he found himself turning to study the form of nheira denver. oh, he knew the rumors circling ouran about the other male; however, the white haired host did not know which were fabrications and which were exaggerations of the truth. sky blue hued eyes darted between the two while his mind whirled, attempting to understand why the notorious nheira would approach them. kira, of course, remembered that nadeah used to have a rather obsessive crush on the dark haired male, but he had been under the impression that the blonde had finally moved on with his life. his eyes narrowed thoughtfully while he continued his examination of the pair. oh, nothing of importance, he declared in response to denver’s question. the smile on his face turned rather feral as he motioned toward the edge of the fountain. have a seat, he added because he felt rather short and insignificant with them both standing and towering over him.
we’ll enjoy a nice, pleasant conversation, and i might finally get some answers, he chirped in a tone lacquered with sarcasm, but he tilted his head to the side and blinked innocently at the pair. after all… it’s been such a dreadfully long time since i’ve spent any time with my best friend, and it’s not like deah to miss orchestra. i did wonder what could possibly be taking so long, and i managed to stall adendroth-sensei for roughly twenty minutes. kira’s gloved fingers drummed against the fountain as he leaned back and focused his gaze on the cloudless sky, and he wished that the clouds would appear and weep over their portion of the earth. perhaps nadeah did have a good reason beyond being distracted; in fact, kira might chance a guess and say that denver caused his friend’s untimely distraction. perhaps they were seeing each other. the white haired musician was not quite sure how to feel about that. regardless of his feelings on the matter, he thought the idea had more merit than the rest of his guesses.
the young host returned his attention to the pair and offered them a dazzling smile that masked his own discomfort with the current situation. so… am i to guess at your new relationship status? he asked with his eyes focusing on the blonde. or were you intending to tell me about your new boyfriend? he tilted his head in denver’s direction, and kira carefully maintained his smile and kept his true emotions from leaking out of his tight grip over them. and would you mind doing the introductions? i’d rather hate for your new boyfriend to get the wrong impression. his eyes darted to denver as he spoke and emphasized the word wrong since neither he nor nadeah had any sort of romantic feelings toward each other, and he rather liked living without another form of physical torture. kira let his smile fade away and forced his expression to remain neutral, apathetic while he awaited their responses.

Pale hands pulled at the sleeves of his uniform. He really didn't know how to put what he wanted to say into words. Well, words that wouldn't sound horrible or make Kira mad at him. He couldn't handle when Kira or Setsuna were upset with him. The two were pretty much his family on so many levels that he found it extremely important to keep them happy and always please. It was merely how Nadeah was after his family removed him. He always wanted to be approved off in all forms of choices and how others saw him. His self-confidence was below zero.
"Well, I..." started the small wide eyed blond. Slowly, he tried to gather his words to form a complete and coherent sentence. His ability to do so failed upon the sudden appearence of Denver, the current subject at hand. All words left the blond as he jerked his head sharply to the side to look at his boyfriend. Nheria did not look thrilled at all, especially with Kira being here. Blue eyes darted towards his best friend with a sudden shame and uneasiness. He hadn't expected Denver to show up out of nowhere during his time of explaining matters to Kira.
Now, Nadeah suddenly wanted to bury his head in the sands of shame. It didn't take Deah much to know that his best friends mood was going to a darker side with each word that came out of his sweet and innocent mouth. Delicate fingers now pulled at the fabric around his wrist before moving to take hold of his long braid and run his hands down it. It was truly a bad habit of Deah's to twist his hair into knots, wring it, or simply play with it when he was uncomfortable.
He was trying to avoid a situation like this and with each piercing word that was being stabbed into the air, Nadeah shrank. He felt like he was Alice in wonderland who had eaten far too much of that cake. Though, if he had eaten that much then maybe he would disappear from existence? No, he would never be that lucky as Kira would somehow force him to drink and grow back to normal height.
Nadeah did not set, he just sorta stood there, pulling at his braid lightly. "Kira." His name was soft spoken with a slight hurt to it. Kira's words just seemed to be twisting the blade now in Deah's side and he didn't know what to make of it. However, he was correct. Deah had never missed orchestra unless he was sick, being picked on, or if something happened to Setsuna. Then, hearing Kira had stalled for twenty minutes had made him feel like a really big jerk as he had let Denver convince him to go and do other things.
Stabby. Stabby. Deah shrank again and lowered his eyes to the ground. "Y-yes. T-though I was going to tell you, I promise I was..." He was going to tell Kira all right if he could of just found the words. It was diffcult to tell your best friend that you were suddenly dated your old crush out of nowhere. It really was like a frightening dream come true.
Nadeah mumbled a soft sorry to Kira as he felt the ax coming down on his neck. "Ah, this is Hibiki, Kira. My best friend and um, Kira this is Nheria, Denver... " The introductions rolled from his tongue thicky and uncomfortably. He was truly afraid of what might happen in the next few minutes before he finally sat down and took a seat on the ground and leaned back against the fountain. Hands still playing in his hair.
"...my boyfriend."
